Melodies

Out of tune
Sharp and flat
Empty notes

No resemblance
Of the music
It once was

Tragedy
Hammered against
Diseased strings

Beautiful ebony
Polished
Grand stature

Tortures
Poor souls
Daring to listen

I did really well in the Lit part of school, but was horrible when it came to interpretation of things like poetry. I know this isn't about pianos. I would need more coffee to figure out the rest. It was beautiful though.

@ Skittles: "Ivory keys" was originally "piano keys" :D It was a quick write, and I looked at it after I posted and decided to change it to ivory...I liked that the instrument isn't named. It can be interpreted to how the reader perceives it though. Thank you..I'm glad you liked it.
